Funding program options
Funded Academy is offering their traders the following accounts:
- Aggressive challenge account
- Extended account
Prices for aggressive challenge accounts:
- $50,000 account for $280
- $100,000 account for $480
- $200,000 account for $780
An aggressive challenge account requires completing two stages to be eligible to become a funded account.
Stage one requires a profit target of 8% in a 30 day trading period where you must trade for a minimum of 10 trading days. Within that period, you must respect the 10% total drawdown rule and 5% daily drawdown or 50% positive trading days rule, which you get to choose from.
Stage two requires a profit target of 4% in a 60 day trading period where you must trade for a minimum of 10 trading days. Within that period, you must respect the 10% total drawdown rule and 5% daily drawdown or 50% positive trading days rule, which you get to choose from.
Upon successful completion, you are awarded a funded account and become eligible for 80% profit splits. You no longer have a profit target and a trading period rule. The only thing you have to respect is the 5% daily and 10% total drawdown.
Another thing you become eligible for when getting a funded account is Funded Academy’s scaling program, which looks like this:
- $50,000 into $100,000
- $100,000 into $200,000
- $200,000 into $400,000
- $400,000 into $1,000,000
- $1,000,000 into $1,500,000
- $1,500,000 into $2,000,000
You have the option to scale your account up every time you make a 10% profit. You should also consider that the 10% profit you use for scaling cannot be withdrawn. Another thing you should note is that past $400,000, the profit split will drop to 68%, and for $1,500,000 and $2,000,000, it will drop to 65%.
As a reward for every trader that scales up, they offer a protection that in case of a breach of your maximum drawdown rule, you get your account rolled back one stage instead of losing your account.
The leverage you are working with through both challenge stages and when you become funded is 200:1.
Prices for extended accounts:
- $25,000 account for $200
- $50,000 account for $400
- $100,000 account for $725
- $250,000 account for $1,800
- $500,000 account for $3,550
- $1,000,000 account for $7,100
An extended account requires completing one stage to be eligible to become a funded account.
The evaluation stage requires you to hit a profit target of 10% with no maximum trading period or minimum trading days rule to follow. You have to follow the only two rules: the 4% daily and the 5% total drawdown.
Upon successful completion, you are awarded a funded account and become eligible for 70% profit splits. The only restriction you have to respect is the 4% daily and 5% total drawdown.
The leverage you are working with through the evaluation stage and when you become funded is 10:1.
What makes Funded Academy different from other prop firms?
Funded Academy is different from most industry-leading prop firms due to their program offers being a classic 2-stage challenge as well as an extended account program. They provide real accounts with real funds and not demos.
You can choose their 2-stage challenge account where you can work with capital up to $200,000 after completing it. Compared to other prop firms like FTMO, TopTier Trader, and The Funded Trader Program who have profit targets of 10% in stage one and 5% in stage two, Funded Academy has relatively low-profit targets of 8% in stage one and 4% in stage two. You are also eligible for bi-weekly payouts with the 2-stage funded account.
Another option Funded Academy offer is their extended program, which requires a one-stage evaluation completion where you can manage accounts from $25,000 up to $1,000,000. Your only requirement is to hit the 10% profit target without hitting the 4% daily or 5% total drawdown limits.
In conclusion, funding from Funded Academy can be acquired by many different traders due to the various trading strategies they can use. You should focus on fulfilling the profit target while not exceeding the daily and total drawdown limits.
Is getting Funded Academy capital realistic?
It’s essential to see how realistic the trading requirements are when looking at prop firms that best suit your forex trading style. For example, a company offering a high % profit split on a highly funded account sounds great, but if they expect high % gains per month with low % maximum drawdowns, your chances of success become close to zero.
After considering all of that, Funded Academy is an excellent choice to get funded with. This is since you can choose the program that best suits you. You can go for the 2-stage challenge or the extended account, depending on your personal preference.
The rules for the 2-stage challenge are realistic since your profit targets are 8% in stage one and 4% in stage two, while you cannot surpass the total drawdown of 10%. Other rules include a maximum trading period, minimum trading days, and a chance to choose between a 5% daily drawdown or 50% positive trading days rule.
The rules for extended accounts are more strict sense it is a one-stage challenge, but they are still very realistic with proper risk management. Your profit target is 10%, with your only two limitations being 4% daily and 5% total drawdown.
Funded Academy was incorporated on the 29th of July, 2021. They offer bi-weekly payouts for their funded challenge accounts and monthly payouts for their funded extended accounts.

In conclusion, Funded Academy is a legitimate proprietary firm offering funding through a 2-stage challenge with a chance to scale your $50,000, $100,000, $200,000 account to $2,000,000 in balance or through a one-stage extended account from $25,000 up to $1,000,000 in balance.
On their 2-stage challenge, you are required to reach profit targets of 8% in stage one and 4% in stage two, which makes it easier to achieve compared to firms like FTMO, TopTier Trader, and The Funded Trader Program who all require 10% in stage one and 5% in stage two.
The one-stage extended account is harder to achieve, but you have the potential to manage a $1,000,000 account instantly after reaching a 10% profit target. The hard part is the 4% daily and 5% total drawdown, but it is doable with proper risk management.
I would recommend Funded Academy to anyone who is reaching consistent results as a trader, primarily because of their potential to scale your account with the 2-stage challenge up to a capital of $2,000,000, or the one-stage since you can reach $1,000,000 in funding by hitting a 10% profit target.
